With it's many small streets full of every conceivable type of shop, funky galleries, trendy cafés, affordable restaurants and old Amsterdam-style bars, this is the street you keep coming back to after losing yourself in the Jordaan. At one end of the Westerstraat stands the Marnixbad, a new high-tech public swimming pool with gym, spa and a healthy cafe - to the other side stands the Noordermarkt with its lovely church, weekend organic farmer's market, and several cafés and restaurants popular with the locals and those in the know.
The Canal Ring is a short walk away and Central station is little more than 5 minutes by bike, and 12 minutes by foot. Public transport connections from this short stay Amsterdam Jordaan apartment are excellent.
