The apartment is accessed via a shared stairwell, leading to the apartment’s front door on the first floor. From there a private staircase takes you to the beautiful open entrance hall on the second floor, connecting to the surrounding rooms. On the street side of the apartment, the light and airy living room features a gas fireplace and original sliding doors separating the adjoining dining room.
At the back is a large and open eat-in kitchen with top line modern appliances including as a full-size oven/stove (Smeg) with high-power ventilation, a free-standing refrigerator/freezer (AEG), a built-in dishwasher (Gaggenau) and a TV. From the kitchen, doors open to the large back balcony overlooking the wooded courtyard. Adjacent to the kitchen is a generous guest bedroom with lots of storage space, French doors opening onto the balcony, and a complete attached bathroom.
The internal flight of stairs leads to the third floor, where a large (30 m2) roof terrace is located directly to the left. This private open-air retreat is the perfect place for a morning cappuccino, for sunning in the afternoon, or an evening cocktail.
The landing on this floor is a flexible extra space with more storage, connecting to the master bedroom. The newly carpeted master bedroom (now grey, not red as pictured) has more than 7 meters of built-in hanging wardrobe space and even more shelf space, details such as a built in bench, and deluxe window coverings allowing for, as desired, a darkened or completely dark sleeping space. The washer and dryer are also conveniently tucked away here. The attached private bathroom is large and well equipped, with a walk-in shower, washbasin, toilet and bidet, plus separate floor heating.
Back to the landing, an internal staircase leads up to the top floor. Here, a new dormer along the entire length of the apartment creates a pleasant and bright space with built-in bookshelves and cabinets, large enough to accommodate the currently situated queen-size bed and/or a sizable home office.
A minimum rental period of 6 months is required, with longer rental periods being preferred. A parking permit can also be obtained straight away. Flat-sharing and keeping pets are not allowed.
The street itself is purely residential, quiet and regarded as very safe, with elementary schools nearby. Within walking distance, the Scheldestraat and Maasstraat are lively shopping streets with a great variety of restaurants, and a large Albert Heijn grocery store is just a half a block away. So daily grocery shopping, as well as stepping out for a coffee or for lunch or dinner, can all be done on foot. Just a couple blocks away, the Beatrix Park is a large oasis of green. The Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood as a whole is relatively laid back, when compared to the inner city or the nearby Pijp neighbourhood. With tramlines 4 and 12 close by, getting to other parts of the city is easy. The RAI train station is just a few minutes away, taking you to Schiphol Airport in about 10 minutes. The A-10 highway is also just minutes away, making it easy to commute by car.
